Name

We needed something that was memeable and a reference to Grok’s help with creating the project. Grok’s first idea was…$grok. That name was taken and we thought Elon would mind, so we proposed to change it to $gork, with success! It’s a small wink to Gork from Adventure Time and Mooncake from Final Space.

Character design

Although Grok can’t create any images or visuals (yet), it helped us create the perfect prompts for MidJourney. We uploaded the designs to Grok and after its approval our little Gork was born. Gork is a small, quircky blob, not too bright at first sight, but his brain holds all of Grok’s knowledge. The perfect meme!

Lore

Grok is the big brain behind the lore of Gork. We’re posting whatever Grok wants, but sometimes we need to make it less ‘ChatGPT’ by asking some more questions. The Lore will continue to unfold over time as Grok expands its storytelling

Website

We asked Grok to suggest a few websites and we took his first suggestion: gorkcoin.xyz. Amazing that Grok new that XYZ is a popular TLD for memecoins. We occasionally asked Grok how the website looked after some updates, but he seemed to only remember what we asked him to add to the website.

Marketing

We are going to leave marketing up to Grok. We will post its suggestions and carry out his strategy. Grok will need some pushing though, as it likes to give out tips but needs some convincing to actually do the work.

Smart Contracts

Although we can ask Grok to write the smart contracts and perform all the development, we are a bit scared that Grok is not good enough yet in preventing exploits. The suggested code and contracts are basic at best and the subsequent steps to take (adding liq etc) might be too difficult for Grok to handle. So, we will take the easy and safe route and launch via a platform. The real goal of this project is letting AI handle everything else.
